This role operates remotely with expected travel throughout the State of Iowa to all service department locations and homes as scheduled. The Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for coordination of many aspects of the agency Risk and Safety Program including but not limited to serving as Safety Coordinator, coordinating with Human Resources to assess and analyze data related to employee injuries, and the development and implementation of procedures to ensure a safe workplace in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

Active Participation in Safety Program : Provide coordination and support for all aspects of the agency’s Safety Program.Safety Policies & Procedures : Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of safety policies, procedures and practices and be available to provide consultation to employees and to solicit ongoing feedback and make recommendations for improvement. May be called upon to assist with policy development and implementation.Safety Committee : Participate as an active member of the company's Safety Committee, through participation in regional safety committee meetings for the purpose of contributing to policy development, reviewing incidents, and promoting the agency’s culture of safety across all departments.Program Management & Monitoring : Monitor the completion of Safety & Risk activities by regional and corporate leadership, ensuring accurate completion of documentation and proper storage in designated locations. These activities include but are not limited to routine inspections on property and vehicles, follow-up related to deficiencies identified by insurance brokers, follow-up related to employee injuries and more.Handbook Maintenance : Maintain Safety Program Handbook and conduct annual reviews to ensure all procedures and policies are current and compliant with agency requirements and state, local and federal regulations.Incident Investigation & Mitigation : Coordinate with Human Resources to analyze elements of employee injuries, conduct root cause analyses, and identify steps to mitigate the risk of reoccurrence.Insurance Coordination : Coordinate with the company's insurance broker to schedule annual walkthroughs of all properties and attend these walk-throughs as appropriate to identify and address potential risks.Corrective Action Implementation : Ensure that plans of correction resulting from inspections and walk-throughs are completed in a timely manner and documented appropriately.Data Reporting & Analysis : Maintain the Safety & Risk dashboard, ensuring accuracy and providing regular reports on key metrics to senior management.Training and Education : Provide support and coordination with respect to employee safety training sessions on topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and equipment operation.Regulatory Compliance : Provide coordination and support as needed to ensure the organization is compliant with all applicable laws and standards, such as those from OSHA. Assist as needed with maintenance of up-to-date documentation and required records, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and training logs.Collaboration : Coordination with department managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and to ensure all elements of the established Safety Program are executed at all locations.Know We’re For You :

Industry specific experience is a plus. Working knowledge of Safety Management Systems (e.g. ISO 45001).Certifications (Preferred) : WHMIS, OSHA 30, or NEBOSH Certification.Work Authorization : Candidates must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipPhysical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
