About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Nurse

Experience : 2+ years of current operating room experience

License : Valid state nursing license

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

• Scrub and circulating experience
• Experience in orthopedics and neurosurgery
• EPIC electronic medical record experience
• Ability to provide own transportation

Description :

Prepare and assist in the setup of the operating room for scheduled procedures.

Verify accurate and complete preparation of supplies, instruments, equipment, and special order items pre-operatively.

Open and dispense sterile items safely and accurately.

Assess special needs related to patient history, surgical procedure, positioning needs, and length of planned surgical procedure.

Count sponges, sharps, and instruments with the scrub person.

Ensure accurate charge capture for items utilized in the operating room for patient-specific charges.

Any requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted in the profile.

No more than five days of time off will be accepted.

Travelers are required to work during designated holiday periods.

All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission.

Profile must include current work history and skills checklist.

A supervisory reference from the past two years of employment is required.

Licenses and certifications must be uploaded with the profile.
