Pay : $60-$65 per hour
Monday-Friday, 8 hour day position.
Call requirement is one weekday and every 3rd weekend.
Prefer at least 2 years of experience
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to join our healthcare team The IR Tech will work directly with interventional radiologists and the clinical team to perform specialized imaging procedures that diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with a wide range of interventional radiology procedures (angiography, biopsies, drainages, vascular access, embolization, stent placements, etc.).
- Operate fluoroscopy, CT, and other imaging equipment safely and effectively during procedures.
- Prepare procedure rooms with necessary sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, patient safety, and infection control protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and comfort before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer contrast media under physician direction and observe patients for adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, supplies used, and patient records in EMR systems.
- Provide post-procedure instructions and support patient recovery as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency IR procedures (as required by department).
Qualifications
Current ARRT certification (Radiography) required; ARRT (VI Vascular Interventional) certification strongly preferred.Nevada State Radiologic Technologist License (must be active and in good standing).Current BLS certification (AHA); ACLS preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology, special procedures, or cardiovascular cath lab strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of sterile technique, radiation safety, and interventional imaging equipment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Precision Scans is an equal-opportunity employer, committed to cultural
