Robert Half is looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role requires a strategic thinker who excels at building client relationships, managing staff effectively, and delivering high-quality tax services. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling complex engagements independently while contributing to the growth and success of the firm.
Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee all aspects of tax engagements, ensuring efficiency, attention to detail, and timely completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, earning their trust and identifying opportunities to offer additional services.
- Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting growth and development.
- Stay current with relevant tax laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Participate in pre-planning and planning meetings, coordinating with team members to gather necessary information.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, deadlines, and deliverables, delegating responsibilities as appropriate.
- Provide constructive feedback and training to staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
- Lead marketing efforts to attract new clients and expand services offered to existing clients.
- Actively participate in strategic planning initiatives to support firm-wide goals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new services to meet evolving client needs.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in public accounting tax, with at least three years in a managerial role.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent certification.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting software such as CCH and expertise in annual income tax provisions.
- Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns, entity formation, and individual tax filings (E1040).
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and projects effectively while maintaining high standards of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
- Proven track record in identifying client needs and generating new business opportunities.
- Commitment to staying updated on industry changes and relevant pronouncements.
