About the Role

Andrew Humphrey Engineering, LLC is a Colorado-based electric power engineering firm supporting industries like renewable energy, utilities, water / wastewater, oil and gas, higher education, and more.

We’re hiring for a Power Systems Engineer based in Golden, CO . This position is open to both local candidates and those open to relocation. You’ll be part of a small but growing team working on a variety of high-impact projects across the U.S.

What You'll Be Doing

Design and layout of low and medium voltage power systems

Create electrical drawings : one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring diagrams, conduit layouts

Perform engineering calculations using ETAP, SKM, or by hand

Conduct short circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies

Specify and review equipment; develop relay settings (SEL, GE, Basler, etc.)

Collaborate with junior engineers or receive mentorship, depending on experience

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves :

BSEE or BSEET from an accredited university

Solid understanding of NEC, IEEE / ANSI standards, and power system fundamentals

Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

Clear written and verbal communication

Nice-to-Haves :

PE license or on track for licensure

Experience with substation or renewable energy systems

Industrial project experience (water / wastewater, oil and gas, etc.)

MSEE with a power systems focus

Relay setting and system protection knowledge

Schedule :

Monday–Friday, standard 8-hour shifts with a 7 : 00 AM start

Work Type :

Full-time, in-person at our Golden, CO office
