Physician Job Details

Location : Cashiers, North Carolina (28717) – Blue Ridge Mountains region

Practice Setting : Outpatient primary care clinic with urgent care services

Assignment Type : Locum tenens physician (travel contract)

Start Date : 5 / 1 / 2025

End Date : 10 / 16 / 2025

Estimated Weekly Salary : $6510 - $7710

Schedule : Monday – Friday, no call required

Shift Duration : 8-hour shifts

Patient Volume : 14–18 patients per day

Clinical Support : Onsite Medical Assistant and Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

EMR System : Cerner

Physician Job Requirements

Active North Carolina medical license (NC physician license required)

Active DEA registration in North Carolina

Board certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty

Eligible to participate in Medicaid and Medicare programs

Minimum 1 year of experience in outpatient primary care or urgent care settings

Strong commitment to continuity of care and patient satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care and urgent care to patients of all ages

Manage a daily patient load of 14–18 individuals in a clinical setting

Collaborate with Medical Assistants and Advanced Practice Providers for optimal clinical support

Document and manage patient records using Cerner EMR

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support continuity of care

Maintain a professional, business casual appearance in the clinic
