Procurement Specialist

The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist will oversee the activities of the purchasing and inventory control department while managing the inventory of materials for the company.

Responsibilities

• Purchase supplies, materials, and parts for the company.
• Research, analyze, and forecast current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products, focusing on specified target market and demographics.
• Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
• Develop and maintain relationships with wholesalers and suppliers.
• Review purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies.
• Negotiate contracts with wholesalers and suppliers.
• Assess financial risks of purchases.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with GMPs and SQF standards.

Work Environment

This position requires onsite work from Monday to Friday, 7 : 30 am to 4 : 00 pm. The role involves occasional walking on the production floor, necessitating the use of steel toe shoes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Whitestown, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00 / yr.
