Pulmonologist, we are searching for you! Our multistate long term care facilitator is seeking a Pulmonologist to steward the pulmonary health of residents amongst our five facilies in Central Valley. The ideal applicant will be willing to visit each facility monthly to review the Pulmonary Program caseload and assess needs and current intervention ultimately adding to the reduction of hospitalization and improving overall wellbeing of those we care for. Candidates will be responsible for diagnosing and managing respiratory disorders and provide comprehensive care to patients with pulmonary conditions and those who are susceptible to general decline. Applicants should have significant experience in interventional pulmonary with strong clinical, procedural and leadership skills. This is a primarily remote position though onsite visits at minimum monthly are required and candidates must be accessible by phone during business hours Monday through Friday. You will be a member of the facility team.

Compensation disussed during intial interview

Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine, Interventional Pulmonology, or have completed an Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship. Licensure and prescribing capacity in the state of California  is a must and should be held prior to consideration.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases on mechanical .
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor patient progress.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory health and post-discharge care.
  • Participate in patient rounds and contribute to team discussions regarding care strategies and patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment plans.

Qualifications :

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completed residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary medicine.
  • Board certification in pulmonary medicine
  • Experience with mechanical ventilation and management of patients in a subacute or critical care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Additional training or experience in critical care medicine.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitation protocols for patients recovering from respiratory failure.
