Director, Account To Report

The Director, Account To Report, will lead the Americas and EMEA regional Account To Report function within Global Business Services (GBS), driving operational excellence across defined business processes. This strategic leader will design and manage the operating model - spanning people, process, and technology / automation - to ensure alignment with Boston Scientific's global objectives and customer requirements. The Director will be responsible for delivering efficient, high-quality shared services through continuous improvement, leveraging metrics, Lean Six Sigma tools, and governance frameworks to maximize service value and cost-effectiveness.

Your responsibilities include : leading a high-performing, customer-centric team responsible for Account To Report service delivery across the Americas and EMEA regions; serving as a member of the Global Business Services (GBS) leadership team, shaping GBS strategies and representing the function with key business stakeholders; defining and executing the strategic roadmap for the global Account To Report capability, including investment decisions and alignment with enterprise objectives; designing and managing the operating model (people, process, technology / automation) to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability; enhancing customer experience by partnering with stakeholders to deliver solutions that support current and future business outcomes; promoting a culture of outstanding service delivery, continuous improvement, and operational excellence through fact-based analysis and performance metrics; providing operational transparency through standard scorecards and KPIs; leading root cause analysis and corrective actions for performance issues; identifying opportunities to expand GBS services and sponsor successful transitions within the global delivery network; partnering with Corporate Technical and Divisional Accounting teams on all acquisition intake; ensuring compliance with internal policies, legal regulations, internal controls, and audit guidelines, including those established by regional and corporate controllership functions; developing and executing business plans, managing headcount and budget, and contributing to the long-term strategy of the organization; building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and service value; actively sponsoring and enabling change initiatives, building coalitions and communicating effectively with impacted teams; fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture through coaching, talent development, and engagement strategies.

What we're looking for : required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; fluent in English (advanced proficiency, C1 or higher); minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Finance, Account To Report, Shared Services, or Global Business Services within a large multinational organization; proven leadership experience managing large, geographically dispersed teams within finance or accounting functions, with demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence across complex environments; demonstrated success in developing talent and fostering high-performance, inclusive cultures aligned with organizational goals; strong international stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across reporting lines and drive strategic alignment; solid knowledge of compliance requirements, including internal controls, audit standards, and legal regulations; proficiency in managing budgets, headcount, and financial targets. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in Finance, Accounting, or related field); experience operating at the Associate Director level or higher within a global organization; deep understanding of service delivery frameworks, including SLAs, operational scorecards, and performance metrics; experience leading transitions and change initiatives across global delivery networks; professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or Six Sigma are a plus; experience with ERP systems and digital finance transformation initiatives; multilingual capabilities or experience working in multilingual environments.
