Cardiac Cath / EP Lab Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)

Position : Cath Lab Tech

Schedule : Primarily Days with some late night (evenings) and on call / call per unit needs

Position Overview

We are seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), certified technicians who assist with invasive cardiac procedures. FT positions available, primarily days with late requirements and on call requirements, 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare the procedure room and sterile field for surgical procedures including the setup of sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment

Anticipate equipment required during procedures

Operate equipment and maintain sterile instruments

Function in multiple roles of the procedure team including scrub, circulator, and documenter / monitor

Clinical Experience Required

Experience in Right Heart and Left Heart Hemodynamics, Cardiac Interventions, CTO, PCI, Pericardiocentesis, Vascular Interventions, RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, FlowTriever

Mechanical Circulatory Support Experience Required : ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo

Structural Heart experience with TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty

Critical care or Cardiac Experience Required

Required Qualifications

2 years of Cath Lab Tech experience

Must be a Radiologic Technologist (RCIS) or meet the NYS requirements to be grandfathered into Public Health law 2824

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI or ARRT (prefers ARRT)

COVID vaccine card showing fully completed COVID series

BLS

ACLS

Good organizational skills are a must
