Description :

Unit highlights include a PCU / CVPCU unit.

The shift detail is 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM.

The weekend requirement is every other weekend.

There are no call requirements.

The guaranteed hours are 36 hours per week.

The documentation system used is Meditech.

The floating policy is as needed.

Candidates must have ACLS and BLS certifications.

2+ years of hospital experience is required, with cardiovascular experience needed.

Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Active TX RN license is required; temporary licenses will not be accepted.

Procedures performed on the unit include cardiac caths and post-op CABGs.

The dress code includes royal blue scrubs with embroidery.

Clean and healthy nail policy prohibits artificial nails, gel, and next-gen nails.

Hair must be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors.

Facial hair must be clean and neatly trimmed.

Tattoos should be covered whenever possible.

Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.

The floating policy includes the ability to float to a sister step-down unit and med-surg units with reduced assignments on med-surg units.

Attendance policies will be followed.
