American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with at least 2 years of med / surg experience for a night shift float pool position requiring an active ND or compact RN license and BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital acute care setting within the Med / Surg Float PoolPatient population includes surgical (total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, general) and medical cases such as CHF, CVA, respiratory, and diabetic conditionsUnit has 61 combined beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 5 on days and 1 : 6 on nights12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday requiredFloating is required within med / surg departmentsUse of Epic charting systemCPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow equipment usedTelemonitoring present; monitor techs read strips with RN confirmationResponsibilities include caring for a mix of medical and surgical patients in a float pool environmentDress code allows any scrub colorOrientation includes both general travel onboarding and unit-specific float checklistSupport provided by nurse aides, with ratios up to 1 : 15Every other holiday must be worked as assignedCandidates may not have been employed directly by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past yearFirst-time travelers will be considered\n \n Requirements\n
