We’re seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney with at least 3 years of litigation experience to join a respected St. Louis defense firm. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who thrives in the courtroom, manages cases independently, and delivers exceptional results for clients.

Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Manage a full caseload of insurance defense matters, from inception through trial or resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on case strategy and risk assessment
  • Collaborate with colleagues, paralegals, and support staff to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice in Missouri; Illinois license is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of defense litigation experience (Workers' Comp)
  • Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to handle cases with minimal supervision
