Title : Applications Development Analyst

Location : Montgomery, AL

Duration : Long Term Contract

Position Description

  • This position will be supporting the ADPH Vital Statistics System using .Net Core / C#, SQL Server and Javascript for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications.
  • Candidate must have 5 years plus of verifiable .Net and SQL Server experience.
  • This contractor must be able to qualify for State of Alabama, Merit employment. It is the intention to convert this contract position to a permanent position within 6 months of employment.

Skills Required

  • The requirement for this position is a solid educational background and the following potential abilities and skills : Solid foundation in C#, along with expertise in ASP.Net Core (including MVC), database interaction and front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Javascript.

    • Experience Required

  • Typically has 5 to 8 years of programming / systems analysis experience.

    • Education Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work

    • Additional Information

  • This position supports the Vital Statistics IT team, which manages critical systems including birth, death, marriage, divorce certificates, and related services integrating federal and Social Security data. Unlike many IT teams funded by grants, this team is self-funded and revenue-generating for the state.
  • The team is currently engaged in a major modernization effort—migrating 18-year-old legacy web forms to updated platforms using C# and .NET Core.
