JOB SUMMARY
We are a small private outpatient clinic looking for a psychiatric nurse practitioner or psychiatric PA, with a PMHNP, DNP degree. The candidate must be knowledgeable, yet readily amenable to approach physician with questions. We have a close-knit team, and all of us have our hearts in serving our LGBTQ+ community. The candidate must be comfortable with evaluating and treating all diagnoses in the DSM-V (e.g., mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, gender dysphoria, etc.)
The candidate would be taking over a well-established patient base.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accountability to KPIs – (e.g., timely completion of notes, response time to patient messages, lab follow-ups, patient retention, reduction in med refill errors).
Commitment to Ongoing Professional Growth – require staying up-to-date on psychiatric research, new evidence-based practices, and cultural competency. This ensures providers are future-facing and not stuck in outdated modes of care.
Collaborative Culture – explicitly state expectation to participate in case reviews, team meetings, and feedback loops with staff and leadership. This reinforces co-creation and cross-discipline alignment.
Patient-Centered Empowerment – go beyond “treatment” by requiring providers to educate patients on diagnosis, treatment options, and self-management skills. This aligns with your empowerment core value and reduces patient dependency.
Compliance & Risk Management – including adherence to legal / ethical standards, HIPAA, and state licensing requirements, and document any adverse events or safety concerns promptly. This is protection for both the practice and patients.
Innovation & Systems Mindset – expectation to give feedback on improving workflows, EHR efficiency, and patient experience.
Boundary & Access Clarity – be familiar with expectations for appropriate use of messaging, turnaround times, and escalation processes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
PMHNP, Psychiatry PA or DNP
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completed PMHNP, DNP, or Psychiatry PA school from an in-person institution
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Eligible to work in the continental US
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Full-time. Clinic hours are 7 : 30AM to 5 : 30PM Monday through Thursday (shortened M-Th hours with Friday AM hours might be negotiable). After one year of in-person work, providers are eligible to work from home once a week and on an as-needed basis based on clinic availability
