Description :

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

The unit has a patient ratio of 1 RN to 1-2 patients in PICU and 1 RN to 2-3 patients in stepdown.

Unit staffing includes a Unit Secretary available from 9 AM to 9 PM and shared technicians.

Equipment includes Alaris pumps and a documentation system.

Scheduling requires 3 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.

Floating to Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit may be required.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year of PICU experience.

The unit performs various procedures including IV starts, catheterization, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, tracheostomy care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management.
