Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Neuro Interventional Radiology Technologist with ICU and Neuro IR experience for a travel assignment involving advanced stroke team responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Work in a medical imaging and radiology setting with 2 cath labs and 2 hybrid peripheral / OR roomsMember of a dedicated stroke team with responsibility for neuro IR procedures12 hour day shifts, with core hours of 0700-1530 when not on call and 0730-1600 when on callCall rotation is one week on, two weeks off, with weekend and holiday schedules discussed during interviewNo floating requiredOrientation includes 5 days of 8-hour shiftsUnit uses EPIC (required), with Epic Cupid (preferred), Alaris, and Omnicell systemsRole involves participation as an active stroke team memberFirst-time travelers are welcomeSupport includes a charge nurse Monday through Friday from 0600-1630Scrubs are procedural and provided by the facilityFree parking is availablePermanent staff must wait one full year before returning as a travelerApproval for time off must go through the ManagerFacility has a very traveler-friendly reputation and frequently welcomes renewalsRequirements
Current BLS and ARRT certifications requiredARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) certification preferred, determined during interviewAt least 1 year of Neuro IR experience required; general IR experience alone is not sufficientICU experience required for considerationProficiency with sterile / scrub technique, Siemens equipment, and neuro IR proceduresExperience with stroke cases and procedure circulationKnowledge of and experience with EPIC documentationLicense required if applicableTravelers must live at least 100 miles from the facilityBenefits
