Treasury Consultant
The Treasury Consultant will be a key member of the Investment, Debt, and Derivative Accounting team within Corporate Treasury. This role is responsible for supporting various accounting and finance functions, ensuring compliance, and collaborating across departments to drive accurate financial reporting and analysis.
This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Monitor accounting and compliance for UnitedHealth Group's investment portfolio across US GAAP, Statutory, and Tax bases
- Lead and support period-end close activities, including account analysis, reconciliations, reasonableness checks, and subledger entries
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Capital Markets, Cash Management, and Investment Management to support reporting, reconciliation, and debt / derivative setup
- Process trades, report gains / losses, and perform related financial analyses
- Assist with intercompany loan transactions, eliminations, and potential foreign exchange (FX) hedging activities
- Utilize the latest technologies and tools to streamline processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive continuous improvement in Treasury operations

Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related disciplineAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of macros and complex formulasDemonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications :
Experience in the Financial Services and / or Insurance industryExperience with PAM for Investments, Python, PeopleSoft Financials, Bloomberg, and Power BIFamiliarity with fixed-income securities, debt instruments, and derivativesSolid understanding of US GAAP and Statutory Accounting PrinciplesProven excellent leadership, attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skillsPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
