Specific for Static Testing ASTM standard tests on United Testing System, Static Test Machines.

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Conduct Static Tests : conduct static tests on various materials to assess their properties such as strength, durability, and elasticity per approved static test request.
• Specimen Preparation : Collect and prepare samples from engineering and fabrication sources for testing. This includes fabrication and / or preparation of specified specimen to required testing sizes utilizing the wet saw and precision grinding machine.
• Operation of standard 12" shop wet saw for cutting composites.
• Operation and use of CNC precision grinder for dressing material specimens to exact tolerances.
• Set up and utilize data acquisition and control computer to run tests, monitor, and record data for customer reports.
• Prepare and deliver data in the required format and location as per customer specifications.
• Maintain and confirm calibrated testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability, including scheduling calibrations with third-party suppliers and internal departments.
• Collaborate with customer representatives, Center Engineers, and technicians to support quality assurance and testing processes.
• Follow safety regulations and procedures during testing, including proper machine safeguarding and conducting Job Safety Analyses for non-standard tests.
• Support customers in research and process walks to help understand, investigate, and validate material and test setup impacts.
• Setup and prepare specimens for specified conditions in environmental chambers, monitor, and record data, then deliver specimens as per customer requests.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on test machines, environmental chambers, and associated tools.
