Description :

We have two operating departments with a total of 33 operating rooms.

One department consists of 26 rooms focusing on trauma.

The second department includes a mix of seven inpatient and outpatient rooms.

The main base will be in the seven-room unit, but staff may float as needed.

Common procedures in the unit include hernias, appendectomies, cholecystectomies, GI work, and more.

Colorectal surgeries include both open and laparoscopic bowel resections.

Gyn procedures involve oncological and benign surgeries, including open and laparoscopic techniques.

Urology includes cystoscopies, stent placements, and robotic nephrectomies.

Breast procedures include biopsies and mastectomies.

Other occasional surgeries include eye procedures and brachytherapy assists.

Plastic surgeries are generally associated with breast or affirmation procedures.

Robotic surgeries mostly focus on urology and gynecological procedures.

The unit operates Monday through Friday and often finishes by 7 : 00 PM or 8 : 00 PM.

Staff may float to the main operating room if needed.

There are obligations for two weekend call shifts per contract, with no other weekend responsibilities.
