FHA VA Licensed Underwriter

A company is looking for a Senior Government Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

Underwrite a full range of mortgage loans including Agency, FHA, and VA loans

Proactively manage a pipeline of loans and review documentation for accuracy and completeness

Analyze mortgage loan files for compliance with FHA and VA guidelines and assess borrower risk

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; BA or BS highly desired

5+ years of experience underwriting FHA, VA, and Conventional loans

5+ years of experience reviewing Appraisal Reports

FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) and VA SAR / LAPP designations required

Proficiency in Encompass and automated underwriting systems
