Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Buyer to manage a group of vendors and / or product groups. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, coordinating with various departments, communicating with vendors, and ensuring efficient and effective purchasing processes.
Responsibilities :
- Manage designated product groups or suppliers for weekly Purchasing needs.
- Manage inventory databases weekly to reflect accurate stock levels.
- Use inventory databases to determine material quantities needed and create Purchase Orders to communicate with vendors.
- Validate that Vendor Order Acknowledgements are accurate concerning products, pricing, etc.Work with vendors to resolve any issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding damaged material or quality issues and the replacement of those materials.
- Monitor Vendor Pricing for accuracy.Communicate and resolve any discrepancies identified.
- Collaborate with various departments such as Operations, Sales, Transportation, and Install to forecast inventory needs and prevent stock shortages or overages.
- Implement purchasing and inventory optimization strategies to minimize carrying costs while meeting demand.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, optimize inventory turnover, and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications :
3-5 years of proven experience in purchasing, inventory management or a related role preferred.Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office suite, requiredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.Knowledge of purchasing and inventory controls best practices and principles.
