Job summary :

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position, with some overtime possible depending on operational needs. The work is performed primarily in a repair shop environment, with occasional field service calls to remote worksites.

Key responsibilities :

  • Preventative maintenance : Conduct routine maintenance on diesel engines and equipment, including fluid changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and comprehensive inspections.
  • Diagnostics and repair : Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using computerized diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Repair or replace malfunctioning components, such as engines, transmissions, brake systems, a / c and electrical systems.
  • Equipment operation : Operate a variety of shop equipment, including hydraulic lifts, pneumatic tools, and welding equipment.
  • Collaboration and communication : Communicate clearly with supervisors and, when necessary, with vehicle operators or clients.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Three plus years of mechanical experience, salary will depend on applicant’s verifiable experience.
  • Proven experience as a diesel technician or mechanic.
  • Proficiency in using mechanical and computerized diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Valid driver's license : a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
  • ASE certifications are a plus.
