Counselor – Substance Use Disorder Treatment

About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, licensed counselor to join our mission-driven team dedicated to delivering evidence-based care for individuals affected by substance use disorders. This role plays a key part in helping patients navigate their recovery journey while collaborating with a dynamic, multidisciplinary treatment team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intakes, assessments, individualized treatment planning, and discharge planning
• Administer biopsychosocial assessments and develop patient-centered care strategies
• Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, MI)
• Monitor patient progress, identify relapse indicators, and implement prevention strategies
• Utilize clinical screening tools (BAM-R, C-SSRS, GAD-7, PHQ-9) to assess risk factors
• Coordinate care with medical staff and community providers
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
• Participate in internal meetings, staff training, and outreach events
• Observe urine sample collection when necessary
