Registered Nurse – NICU

Facility : LifeBridge Health – Sinai Hospital

Location : 2401 W Belvedere Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215

Start Date : October 27, 2025

End Date : 14-week contract

Duration : 14 weeks

Shift : Night Shift (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Schedule : 3x12-hour shifts / week; 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks

Position Overview

LifeBridge Sinai Hospital is seeking a skilled NICU RN with Level III experience to work night shifts in their 21-bed NICU unit. Candidates must be comfortable caring for critically ill neonates including ELBW infants, preemies, NAS, and surgical patients. Floating is required to Pediatrics, PICU, and Full-Term Nursery.

Certifications & Requirements

  • RN License : Active Maryland or Compact RN License – Required at submission
  • Certifications Required :
  • BLS (AHA only)

  • NRP
  • Preferred Certifications :
  • STABLE

  • Experience :
  • Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience – Required

  • Charge experience – Preferred
  • Charting System : Cerner – Preferred
  • Travel Experience : Not required
  • Local Candidates : Accepted at same rate

  • Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU Level III) :
  • Care for neonates

    34 weeks gestation

  • ELBW infants, preemies, NAS
  • Attend high-risk deliveries
  • Sepsis evaluation and management
  • Developmental and family-centered care
  • Respiratory Support :
  • Ventilator management (AC / PC / SIMV / CPAP / BIPAP / PEEP)

  • High Frequency Ventilation
  • Vapotherm, HFNC, bubble CPAP
  • Suctioning (ETT, NT)
  • Chest tube management
  • Meconium aspiration
  • Oxygen delivery systems
  • IV / Line Management :
  • UAC, UVC placement / monitoring

  • Central line / implanted line care
  • Blood draws from central lines
  • IV initiation and maintenance
  • Medications :
  • IV vasopressors

  • Antibiotics / antivirals
  • Surfactants, steroids
  • Anti-seizure medications
  • Neonatal dosage calculations
  • Gastrointestinal Support :
  • Gavage, bottle, and breast feedings

  • Breast milk handling
  • NEC management
  • Colostomy / ileostomy care
