Strong knowledge of path planning, graph search, and optimization in multi-agent systems. Deep understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning. Hands-on experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch. Proven track record of deploying and maintaining ML models in production environments. Experience with MLOps (CI / CD, orchestration, monitoring). Proficiency in Python; familiarity with concurrency-first functional languages (e.g., Erlang, Elixir) is a plus. Strong foundations in algorithms, operating systems, networking, memory management, and performance tuning. Experience with distributed systems, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes. Knowledge of event-driven architectures. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud (Vertex AI experience preferred). Nice to have : Contributions to open-source projects, research publications, or patents in MAPF, RL, or distributed AI systems.
My client are a global leader in AI-driven robotic automation, providing advanced software and hardware solutions that transform distribution and fulfilment operations worldwide, are seeking a Principal Architect to lead the design and evolution of their Multi-Agent Path Finding (MAPF) algorithms. In this role, you will shape architectural direction, integrate advanced machine learning techniques, and build scalable navigation systems that drive the next generation of robotic automation.
Location and Salary
Location : Redwood City (3 to 4 days in the office)
Salary : $150,000 to $230,000
Key Responsibilities
- Define the technical roadmap to advance performance and scalability in navigation.
- Lead design and implementation of ML model pipelines (data ingestion, training, validation, deployment, monitoring).
- Own production deployment of ML / RL models using MLOps platforms such as Vertex AI (or similar).
- Integrate ML pipelines with orchestration engines for continuous learning and adaptation.
- Collaborate with software, robotics, product, and operations teams to align system goals with real-world challenges.
