Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Commercial Journeyman Electricians licensed in Virginia to support LED retrofit projects at several hospitals and medical centers. This is the first of four consecutive projects, each expected to last approximately 3–4 weeks.The right candidate will be responsible for performing commercial electrical work in sensitive healthcare environments, ensuring all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with state and local codes. Electrician's will be working 50+ hours weekly, and pay is up to $35 / hr depending upon experience. Per diem is available for those that qualify!

Responsibilities

Install, retrofit, and upgrade LED lighting systems in hospitals and medical centers

Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installations

Ensure all work meets NEC standards, local code requirements, and safety regulations

Coordinate with site supervisors and facility staff to minimize disruption in healthcare environments

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements

Valid Virginia Journeyman Electrician License (required)

5+ years of commercial electrical experience preferred

Reliable transportation and basic hand / power tools

Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings

Schedule & Project Info

Each project will last 3–4 weeks

First project begins immediately, with 3 additional consecutive projects scheduled afterward

Work performed in active hospitals / medical centers, requiring professionalism and strict adherence to safety and cleanliness standards
