job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBoard Certified NP or PA with Neonatology experience [REQUIRED] Active New York State license Proven ability to manage NICU patients independently Must be comfortable with high-acuity neonatal procedures Setting : Level III NICU Shift Structure : Full-time, long-term coverage 7 days on / 7 days off 12-hour shifts (day or night) Team Support : Neonatologist present during daytime hours 24 / 7 on-call neonatologist support Unit Specs : 16-bed NICU 16 exam rooms Average 0–2 admissions per shift Average daily census : 8–9 patients Night shift includes coverage for well-baby issues only Attend C-sections and cover Level I Nursery No transport responsibilities (regional Level IV NICU handles all transports, just 5 minutes away) EMR : EPIC Travel Reimbursement : Flight, hotel, and rental car covered Ventilation management (invasive ETT & non-invasive BiPAP / CPAP) Chest tube insertion Exchange transfusions UAC / UVC placement Lumbar punctures Central and arterial line insertion Diagnostic and therapeutic taps Evaluation and management of acute volume / BP issues Embrace remote work options in telemedicine or virtual healthcare settings, leveraging technology to deliver care from anywhere while maintaining professional engagement.
