Structural Design Engineer

Design Engineer – Civil / Structural Location : Canonsburg, PA Division : Engineering – Civil / Structural Reports to : Department Lead Engineer Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with strong civil / structural expertise to join our Engineering Division in Canonsburg, PA. This role involves structural design, engineering analysis, and project support across a variety of building and equipment support structure projects. The ideal candidate will be technically proficient, client-focused, and comfortable managing both engineering deliverables and project coordination responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Perform and review structural design calculations for a wide range of projects. Develop and analyze structural models using STAAD Pro and other engineering tools. Prepare, review, and maintain engineering specifications and construction estimates. Troubleshoot and provide engineering solutions for field and project-related challenges. Provide technical oversight, administrative support, and supervisory guidance on projects of varying size and complexity. Participate in client, vendor, and internal coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication and technical alignment. Ensure all deliverables meet industry standards, client requirements, and safety regulations. Qualifications & Skills B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering (required). 8 - 10+ years of related civil / structural engineering experience. Proficiency in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design. Strong background in building and equipment support structure design. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license strongly preferred. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams. Attributes for Success Commitment to quality, safety, and client service.
