Basic Requirements (All Positions)
Age : Minimum 18 years oldEducation : Associate's or Bachelor's degree in any field requiredPreschool Teacher Aide II Requirements
Preschool Credential OR Child Development Associate Credential OR
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in any field plus completion of Intro to Child Care Profession (or equivalent ECE course)
Preschool Teacher Aide III Requirements
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education OR
Related Associate's or Bachelor's degree with practicum and assessments providing unique enrichment (music, art, intervention therapy) with minimum 18 ECE credits
Experience : Working with children ages 3-5, preferably in licensed childcare settingCertifications : Adult, Child, and Infant CPR within 6 months; basic first aid knowledgeProfessional Competencies : Excellent communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, flexibility for varying schedulesAdditional : Experience with low-income, multicultural families preferredWHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Preschool Teacher Aide, you'll partner with the Classroom Teacher to :
Develop and implement activities that promote children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical developmentSupport programming for children ages 3-5 in accordance with Head Start Performance StandardsEnsure compliance with Wisconsin Child Care Licensing, City of Madison Accreditation, and Wisconsin YoungStar standardsBuild positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community membersMaintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environmentSupport multicultural and diverse learning experiencesAssist with daily classroom routines and specialized programmingWork collaboratively under the direction of the Classroom TeacherWHO WE ARE
