Position Summary

Designs, builds, and maintains large-scale data infrastructure and data processing systems. Implements robust and scalable solutions to support data-driven applications, analytics, and business intelligence.

Required Qualifications

5 years work applicable experience

Ability to collaborate closely with product, data analytics teams, and Epic analysts

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in complex, mission-critical healthcare environments

Experience designing real-time streaming pipelines and batch workflows

Strong hands-on experience parsing, transforming, and mapping HL7 v2 / v3

Proficiency in building scalable data pipelines on Big Data Platforms and ETL / ELT workflows

Strong Python programming experience for data ingestion, transformation, and automation workflows

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years in senior or lead roles.

Expert-level skills in writing and optimizing complex queries (preferably across multiple databases - e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, Postgres)

Solid knowledge of Apache Kafka (Kafka Streams, Schema Registry, Avro / JSON serialization)

Advanced experience building distributed data pipelines, ETL / ELT workflows, and real-time / streaming jobs (Spark SQL, PySpark, Spark Structured Streaming)

Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and governance in regulated environments (HIPAA, HITRUST)

Prior experience in healthcare IT, EMR / EHR systems (Epic preferred), and HL7 / FHIR standards

Experience developing data integration services or custom connectors using Java / Kotlin, particularly for EMR / clinical system

Familiarity with Epic Interconnect APIs, Bridges, or other healthcare interoperability frameworks

Experience with Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP for data engineering workloads

Experience working on Databricks platform

Education

Bachelor's degree preferred / specialized training / relevant professional qualification. Computer Science or Equivalent Years of Relevant Experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is :

$83,430.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
