About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health)

Must-Have : Availability for rotating schedules and weekends

Description :

Responsible for assessing and evaluating the nursing and medical needs of patients.

Initiates and directs the implementation of nursing care plans.

Observes, evaluates, and records patient behavior, condition, and response to medication and treatments.

Coordinates clinical and medical appointments.

Provides professional nursing care by administering medications and treatments as ordered by a physician.

Assists with physical examinations and takes and records vital signs.

Assists in feeding and grooming patients when needed.

Responsible for patient and family education and responds to emergencies.

Directs delivery of psychiatric and nursing care provided by lower-level staff on assigned shifts.

Monitors medication administration, documentation, and operation of medical equipment.

Assists in orienting and training new nursing staff.

Prepares and reviews records and reports including incidents, nursing care plans, shift reports, and admissions / discharges.

Updates nursing care plans, transcribes or verifies doctors' orders, and writes treatment plans.

Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Attends seminars, meetings, and conferences.

Conducts and participates in in-service training sessions and programs.

Knowledge of professional nursing procedures and state and federal regulations related to nursing.

Skills in operating medical equipment and ability to write meaningful reports.

Demonstrates physical fitness in fulfilling the role.
