Quality Control Roof Observer
Location : Milwaukee, WI
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Roof Observer to oversee roofing construction activities and ensure compliance with contract documents, approved submittals, schedules, and safety protocols. This role requires maintaining a consistent on-site presence, documenting daily progress, and reporting quality and safety issues to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent presence at the construction site and coordinate daily with roofing contractors and client representatives.
- Monitor job-site activities to ensure compliance with contract documents and approved submittals.
- Take photographs and maintain detailed daily reports on quality and safety.
- Identify and report quality issues and safety violations to the Project Manager.
- Ensure all incomplete work is addressed prior to final inspection.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Minimum two years of experience in roofing (residential or commercial), including demolition, inspection, or shingling.At least one year of experience using an iPad for professional or personal use.Strong coordination and communication skills.Experience in roofing inspection and quality control.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with insurance companies is a plus.Work Environment
Primarily office-based, with regular visits to construction sites to meet with clients and observe roofing activities. The role requires interaction with contractors and project stakeholders in both field and office settings.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00 / hr.
