About The Position

Job Description – School Physical Therapist

Position : Physical Therapist – School Setting

Start Date : September 22, 2025

Contract Duration : Through May 22, 2026 (School Year)

Employment Type : Contract (Part-Time)

FTE : 0.6 (Approximately 3 days per week)

Schedule : Day shift, 7 : 30 AM – 3 : 30 PM (7.5-hour days with a 30-minute unpaid lunch; ~21 hours per week)

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed and motivated School-Based Physical Therapist to join an educational team for the upcoming school year. The therapist will provide physical therapy services across a cooperative-wide setting in an itinerant role, serving students from Pre-K through age 22 .

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Evaluate, develop, and implement treatment plans to support student mobility, motor development, and access to educational activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and multidisciplinary staff to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
• Provide consultative support and training to staff and families as needed.
• Travel between school sites as required within the cooperative-wide assignment.
