Overview Creative Communications Specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri. The primary goal of this role is to design, create, update, and implement multi-media collateral to support the organizations marketing and communication goals and mission. Objectives include increasing brand awareness, volunteers, fundraising, and conversion outcomes through marketing activities.
Responsibilities Illustration and Design : Serve as the lead graphic designer for print, web, and multimedia collateral; conceptualize creative ideas and visual expression; maintain brand standards and guidelines; apply fundamental design and illustration principles; ensure deliverables meet agency standards and deadlines.
Campaign and Event Photography & Videography : Support agency campaigns with photo and video assets; coordinate plans to capture key assets; organize and maintain files and catalogs; repurpose video and photo assets.
Marketing and Communication Management : Creative Project Management & Customer Service; review internal marketing requests; develop assets; prepare quality briefs and project plans; manage end-to-end workflows to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
Collaboration : Build relationships with the Marketing & Communications department and agency staff; collaborate with philanthropy and other departments to align marketing with organization goals; track results and seek knowledge of tools and best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree with at least one year of relevant marketing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred).
Proven proficiency in graphic design; understanding of fundamental design and illustration principles.
Knowledge of marketing (traditional and digital), project management, and communications; knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital strategies.
Project planning and management skills; ability to manage multiple key projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in photography, videography, editing, and post-production techniques (desired).
Experience in the non-profit sector is helpful but not required.
Skills and Abilities Technology skills : Adobe Creative Cloud, Procreate, Canva, MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams); Outlook and Zoom.
Flexibility to work hours including nights and weekends to meet needs of schools, teams, and community partners.
Experience with social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn); familiarity with MailChimp or similar email platforms; knowledge of WordPress or other CMS; Google Analytics; familiarity with CRM and workflow platforms.

Compensation and Benefits Salary based on experience; 401(k) with 3% match after first year.
Reimbursement for business mileage; parking for business meetings.
Health and dental insurance coverage from start; life, short-term and long-term disability insurance after 90 days.
Paid vacation : 5 days after 90 days; 10 days after one year. Sick leave : accrual 1 day per month (up to 30 days).
