Toyota's Enterprise Data Department seeks a passionate and highly motivated Sr. Manager, Data Products to lead a team of technical product managers in executing the strategic vision of Toyota's data tools, platforms, and services. This role owns the multi-year product roadmap and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver scalable, impactful data solutions that empower business units across Toyota. The ideal candidate will bridge business needs with technical execution to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation.
Define and own the product roadmap for data platforms including data lakehouse architecture, data science environments, ML Ops capabilities, and BI / analytics tools.
Lead a team that collaborates closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and analytics teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable features and enhancements.
Own prioritization of product backlog to maximize business value and ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards.
Partner with technology teams to ensure scalable, secure, and performant platform solutions.
Lead cross-functional teams in agile ceremonies, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery of product increments.
Communicate roadmap progress, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously evolve Toyota's data ecosystem.
Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing team of data product managers and technical professionals.
Support change management and training initiatives to drive adoption of new capabilities across the organization.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centric product development.
Bachelor's degree in business, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of product ownership or product management experience in data platforms, analytics, or related domains.
Strong understanding of data lakehouse architectures and modern data engineering principles.
Experience with data science platforms and ML Ops frameworks.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Agile / Scrum experience with ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Hands-on knowledge of BI and analytics tools including Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and Google Looker.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
Proven ability to define and execute product roadmaps that align with business strategy.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Master's degree in data science, Analytics, or related field.
Progressive IT leadership experience, including leading high-performing teams.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, CPA, or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure).
Certifications in Product Ownership (CSPO, PSPO) or Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of automotive industry data trends and challenges is a plus.
