The Operations Manager leads day-to-day operations at Mallard Manufacturing, a trusted leader in material handling and conveyor solutions. This role ensures efficient, safe, and high-quality production while driving performance through continuous improvement, resource optimization, and strong team leadership at our Maquoketa facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily plant operations to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality output.
  • Improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce waste, and control costs.
  • Partner with teams across the business to align plant goals with company objectives.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to balance demand and capacity.
  • Adjust operations to meet changes in demand, resources, or equipment performance.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards to meet customer and industry requirements.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Manage supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and material quality.
  • Optimize staffing levels, balancing labor costs with production needs.
  • Mentor and develop employees, promoting accountability and teamwork.
  • Champion 5S practices and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Maintain accurate production reports, compliance records, and safety documentation.

    • Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of manufacturing or operations experience.
  • Proven success managing production teams and driving process improvements.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and operational efficiency practices.
