Director, Technology Business Partner For Pharmaceutical Sciences R&D Data Digital And Technology

As the Director, Technology Business Partner for Pharmaceutical Sciences R&D Data Digital and Technology (R&D DDT), you will serve as a strategic and trusted partner to PharmSci, driving digital transformation in alignment with scientific and operational priorities.

As a member of the PharmSci R&D DDT leadership team, you will provide thought leadership and domain expertise, shaping and delivering innovative technology solutions that accelerate drug development, enhance scientific and operational excellence, and deliver measurable value for patients and the organization.

Accountabilities include :

• Lead the development and oversight of a comprehensive digital and technology strategy.
• Serve as a strategic advisor and technology domain expert.
• Represent PharmSci in strategic planning and investment prioritization.
• Create and maintain strategic roadmaps.
• Act as the primary liaison between RDDT and business stakeholders.
• Provide executive-level governance for digital initiatives.
• Ensure PharmSci demand is effectively captured.
• Serve as Single Point of Contact for PharmSci technology needs.
• Guide the selection, implementation, and optimization of key systems.
• Identify, evaluate, and drive adoption of emerging technologies.
• Champion the adoption of existing digital solutions.
• Develop strategy, process, and governance for overall technology management.
• Responsible for stakeholder management.
• Drive a culture of transparency, integrity, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate effectively with external partners.
• Coaches, mentors, and develop business analysts and business partners.
• Participate in PharmSci leadership team meetings.

Education & Competencies (Technical and Behavioral) : Required : Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Information Technology, or related field (advanced degree preferred). 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical clinical development, with at least 5 years in a digital strategy, IT leadership or business partner leadership role. Proven track record in delivering enterprise-scale CMC technologies and digital solutions in a GxP-regulated environment. Deep knowledge of the Drug Discovery, PharmSci CMC functional areas including drug devices and its supporting technologies. Operational knowledge of emerging technologies such as GenAI, automation and data analytics platforms.

Preferred : Master's degree in Information Technology, Bioinformatics, Science or a related field.

Technical Competencies : Knowledge of current industry trends and emerging technologies in R&D and Pharmaceutical Sciences including automation, lab of the future and lab informatics. Knowledge of project management principles and agile methodologies with a proven track record in delivering complex technology projects.

Exposure to CMC digital solutions including Tetrascience, QbDVision, PAS-X, SAP or Databricks. Understanding of regulatory standards in pharmaceutical industry.
