Job Description

Beacon Communications, LLC is seeking a motivated Audio - Visual Service Technician to join our dynamic service team. This role focuses on the troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of commercial AV systems. The salary range for this position is $30.00 - $37.50 / hour, commensurate on relevant factors such as education, experience, etc.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve AV system issues across conference rooms, boardrooms, classrooms, and public assembly spaces
• Perform on-site service calls and preventive maintenance in alignment with service level agreements
• Troubleshoot AV components including DSPs, matrix switchers, touch panels, control processors, displays, projectors, and video conferencing systems
• Document service activities, issue resolutions, and client interactions in the ticketing system
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify root causes and implement long-term fixes
• Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and inventory of parts and tools
• Assist with basic programming adjustments and firmware updates
• Support customer training on AV system functionality and usability
• Adhere to safety standards, job site protocols, and manufacturer guidelines
