Provides direct patient care while working under the supervision of a Nurse Supervisor utilizing skills as outlined in the scope of practice by the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Facility Services and NC Board of Nursing.

Nursing Assistant Level II certification required. AHA BLS required.

1st surgical is a 27-bed general surgical unit which provides patient focused care to a general surgical population with a emphasis on the bariatric surgical patients. Early recovery after surgery is a critical part of the care delivery here.
