POSITION SUMMARY The Network Engineer I designs, implements, maintains, and supports our growing network infrastructure.
This position is part of the systems engineering team that is responsible for supporting scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures in tier III environments that meet business objectives and SLAs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Delivers personals tasks on time and leads the delivery of tasks for natural or cross-functional workgroup Participates in initiatives, including cross-functional projects, with deliverables and meets quality standards, on time Creates System Design Documents Estimates system level and enterprise solution project details Implements complex business rules Responsible for fulfilling end-user requests Provides on call support as required Routinely operates under deadlines and may be subject to extreme workloads Periodically provides guidance to and assists in training less experienced individuals Works with guidance or minimal guidance REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of proven hands-on network engineering experience Basic understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS) Basic understanding of the OSI or TCP / IP model Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools Experience and ability to support :
