job_description.job_card.job_descriptionA large system in Nebraska / Iowa are looking for Night PCU RN's. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience. 2 years of unit experience. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. 12 hour shifts : 0630-1830, 1830-0630. Weekend Requirements : Every third. Holiday Requirements : Rotating with perm staff. Floating Requirements : Yes to MedSurg or to ICU to take PCU acuity patients. Scrub Color / Dress code : Navy Blue. Overhead lifts in half the rooms, portable lifts, vein finders, bladder scanner. Focus on patient experience scores, responsiveness, hospital environment, and communication about medications. WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE / SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED. Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Adults, Cardiac med / surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, renal failure. RNs required to titrate drips : Yes. Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin. Charge Nurse on each shift : Yes, does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Yes. Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : Yes, 1 : 12. RT Equipment : High flow. RNs must read and interpret tele strips.
