Senior Systems Development Engineer

In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between design and production for advanced engineering systems. You will lead product validation, develop test procedures, and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring that innovative marine technologies meet performance and safety standards. The role involves hands-on experimentation, system modeling, and technical leadership while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers. You will contribute to the development of next-generation products, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvements. This position requires creativity, mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities :

• Develop and execute product validation plans including life testing, FMEA, field testing, and compliance certification.
• Create project plans and manage projects from concept through to launch.
• Define new product system requirements and provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and diagnosing design issues.
• Design and implement innovative test procedures and automate long-term testing to accelerate timelines.
• Build models to simulate system behavior prior to field testing and design necessary test apparatus.
• Document and analyze collected data, generate 2D system schematics, and communicate findings effectively.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to innovate and improve core technologies.
• Mentor other systems engineers and support knowledge-sharing across the team.
