Role - Web Developer (SafetyNet - Extranet)

Position Overview :

The Web Developer (SafetyNet - Extranet) will be responsible for the design, development,

deployment, and ongoing support of web-based applications and portals used across the

Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS). This includes internal and

external web platforms such as the DPSCS Public Website, SafetyNet Intranet, and the Maryland

Police and Correctional Training Commissions (MPCTC) portals.

This full-stack development role emphasizes security-conscious design, accessibility compliance

(Section 508 / WCAG 2.2), and scalable enterprise development practices aligned with CJIS,

NIST, and OWASP standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as the lead developer and webmaster for DPSCS's public and intranet-facing web

platforms, including :

o DPSCS Public Website

o SafetyNet Intranet

o MPCTC Web Portal and Training Platform

CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Razor, and Bootstrap.

SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS.
