As the Assistant General Manager at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza , you will support the AVP of Asset Management in all aspects of daily property operations for the shopping center. You will serve as the key on-site leader, managing all property staff to ensure top-tier operations that enhance asset value, drive profitability, and deliver an exceptional experience for tenants and customers. You will help execute the annual business plan, advance long-term strategic objectives, and optimize NOI performance.

You will apply solid operational leadership, financial insight, and relationship management skills while collaborating with internal stakeholders, including the VP of Asset Management and Operations Manager, as well as community partners, investors, and joint venture participants. You will oversee tenant and vendor relationships, ensuring the smooth execution of all on-site activities to meet strategic and operational goals.

To succeed, you should have :

Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years' experience in retail, office, or mixed-use property management.

Solid expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, lease interpretation, and reporting.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams while driving operational performance and process improvements.

Solid skills in tenant relations, vendor oversight, and problem-solving to maintain high customer satisfaction.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in Manager-on-Duty rotations.

Your responsibilities as the Assistant General Manager for Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza will include :

Oversee day-to-day property operations, including maintenance, safety, vendor performance, and compliance with budgets and operational plans.

Partner with leadership to manage financial performance, including NOI targets, expense control, tenant billing, and reporting.

Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and community partners to drive satisfaction, retention, and property visibility.

Lead, train, and motivate the property management team, ensuring accountability, performance, and professional development.

Conduct regular property inspections, monitor KPIs, and implement process improvements to maintain top-tier property standards.
