About The Position

Title : Clinical Lab Scientist – Microbiology

Location : Orange, CA

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : Mid Shift | 5x8-Hour (3 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM)

Job Summary :

Seeking an experienced Clinical Lab Scientist for an evening shift position in the Microbiology Department. This role involves performing a wide range of diagnostic testing in microbiology, including culture plating, gram staining, PCR testing, molecular extractions, and rapid test procedures. The position requires alternating weekends and holidays, with no on-call duties.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct routine and complex laboratory testing in microbiology, including specimen handling, culture analysis, and diagnostic verification.
• Perform molecular extractions, PCR testing, and virus identification.
• Ensure quality assurance and control procedures are followed in all testing activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver accurate laboratory results in a timely manner.
• Maintain proper documentation and compliance with laboratory standards and regulations.
• Work within a fast-paced acute care hospital environment using Epic charting system.
