The Role : You will use your leadership abilities to motivate and energize teams pivotal to strengthening OI Analytical's market position through New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering to accelerate growth while facilitating research transfer to OI Analytical's development team. The Engineering Manager will champion new ideas, initiatives, concepts and processes encouraging a positive work environment to foster outstanding performance. Responsibilities :

  • Achieving new product development plan objectives.
  • Obtaining maximum return on R&D investments.
  • Providing critical leadership for the generation of new product ideas from the R&D team(s).
  • Assessing and evaluating new and existing technologies that are opportunities or threats.
  • Coordinate efforts collaboratively with Engineering team and Marketing, Product Management and others to formulate product development.
  • Holding yourself and others accountable for achieving goals and meeting timelines and commitments.
  • Leverage existing technologies and specialized skills to achieve new product goals and to prevent duplication of efforts.
  • License / acquire new technology and drive feasibility studies for developing commercially viable products.
  • Lead the technology due diligence effort on any relevant acquisitions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all government compliance criteria and private funding programs affecting OI Analytical's products and customers.
  • Bring process discipline and accountability to engineering activities.
  • Provide interpretation, guidance and strategies on technologies and methodologies affecting product approvals, development and continued product compliance.

Experience & Academic Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in technology / research leadership.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful new technology / products to the market.
