Our client in Saline, MI is looking for an Automated Design Systems Engineer. This is a direct hire / contract position.

What You Will Do

Our Client's Integrated Vehicle Systems (IVS) Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Automated Design System Engineer. Our Client's Integrated Vehicle Systems (IVS) Department is hiring a detail-driven Systems Engineer who can own requirements, lead DRBFM, and drive action-item closure across stakeholders. You'll pair systems thinking with hands-on software and test integration to help deliver the next generation of automated driving systems for vehicles.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager of IVS, the person in this role will support the IVS department's objective.

What you'll be doing :

• Own system requirements. Capture, decompose, and maintain traceable, testable requirements from concept through release; manage baselines and change control.
• Lead DRBFM. Plan, facilitate, and document DRBFM sessions; translate risks into design actions and verification plans; ensure timely closure.
• Design with developers. Work with ADS software engineers to shape control / decision logic (C / C++), align interfaces, and incorporate safety concepts into design.
• Integrate and verify. Coordinate SIL / HIL / vehicle-level testing; ensure system requirements integrate cleanly to software components and different ECUs specs.
• Track to closure. Build and maintain a clear action tracker; drive owners, dates, and evidence to closure across internal teams and suppliers.
• Liaise across partners. Serve as the day-to-day interface with external stakeholders / suppliers; keep communication crisp and decisions documented.
• Improve the process. Identify gaps; propose lightweight, repeatable improvements that raise reliability, safety, and engineering velocity.
• Contribute to code & reviews. Participate in code reviews, create PRs where appropriate, and support CI checks tied to requirements and tests.
