Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position in California, requiring current BLS and NRP certifications with flexibility for night shifts and floating.
Responsibilities
Work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a hospital settingPatient population includes critically ill neonates requiring intensive careNight shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Every other weekend or as needed weekend coverage is requiredFloating to PICU and CTICU may be required based on censusEPIC is used for documentation and chartingFirst-time travelers are accepted if they have over 2 years of NICU experiencePre-approved time off must be included with submission and is limited to 5 days with holiday RTO at manager's discretionCandidates may be required to complete modules prior to start, including approximately 8 hours of EPIC trainingLocals are accepted at the local rate if residing within 50 miles of the facilityNo on-call requirements for this positionCompliance with hospital dress code requiredRequirements
Active CA RN license in hand is requiredAt least 2 years of recent NICU experience requiredCurrent BLS and Advanced NRP certifications requiredProficiency in NICU III skills including phototherapy, tube / gavage feeding, blood products, PICC, and peripheral line managementExperience with anti-seizure medications, caffeine, vasopressors, neonatal abstinence, phlebotomy, Bubble CPAP, HFNC, and ventilatorsMust provide one professional reference within the past 2 yearsNo record of Nursys disciplinary action allowedFormer permanent staff are not eligible for this positionBenefits
