University Health System is looking for Hemodialysis Technicians.
University provides care in the hospital, care at our clinics, care at our dialysis centers and, sometimes, care at your home. We see adults and children for routine kidney problems, complex kidney diseases, dialysis and transplant care .
As a Dialysis Technician you will :
- Provide chronic hemodialysis treatments to the patients under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse
- Prepare machines : runs tests on machines before connecting Hanson’s to dialyzers. Then rinses, primes dialyzer, install all required tubing; connects fluid delivery system and bath for dialysis
- Weighs patient and obtains baseline vital signs
- Obtains blood samples and other specimens as ordered, then initiates dialysis utilizing established access routes.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma / GED requiredAHA BLS Healthcare Provider Card requiredNew hires with no prior hemodialysis PCT experience must be currently enrolled or have completed a hemodialysis technician program and obtain certification within 18 months of their hire dateWhy Work for University Health System?
